The Sydney Festival is the most attended cultural event in Australia and a celebration of Sydney in Summer. For three weeks each January, the Festival offers a rich and diverse program spanning dance, theatre, music, visual arts, film, forums and free outdoor concerts such as those in The Domain.

Melbourne Winter Masterpieces

Melbourne Winter Masterpieces is a cultural highlight in Victoria's event calendar. The blockbuster exhibition, Art Deco 1910-1939, will come to the National Gallery Victoria from London's famed Victoria and Albert Museum. The exhibition will bring over 150 major works across all fields of Art Deco, painting, jewellery, fashion, film architecture, photography, cars, and furniture.
Brisbane Riverfestival

Riverfestival is Brisbane's major annual community and environmental festival celebrating our waterways and culture by focusing on the city's signature natural landmark, the Brisbane River. With its broad cultural focus incorporating art, environmental science and sport underpinned by a strong sustainability message it is unique in the Australian festivals' landscape.
Held over ten days in early September, a time of clear blue sunny skies and cool nights, the festival utilises many of the city's outdoor public spaces close to the river. The breadth of the program reflects the diverse tastes and passions of the demographic mix of Brisbane, and accessibility to this program is ensured by providing many free or low cost events.
Darwin Festival

The Darwin Festival provides a feast of local, national, and international performances to excite, inspire, and entertain. The festival includes everything from free outdoor events to theatre, dance, music, cabaret, films, workshops and comedy, not to mention the sensational cuisine. Running for 18 nights, and with over 1000 international, national, and Territory artists and cultural groups, the Darwin Festival reflects the indigenous, Asian and Pacific cultures of the region.
Floriade

Kings Park & Botanic Gardens Wildflower Festival

A spectacular way to bounce into Spring with the Kings Park and Botanic Gardens Wildflower Festival. The month long event is a visual feast of Western Australia's wildflowers. It gives spectators the chance to get involved in a tantalising program showcasing free family activities, gardening workshops, talks and demonstrations, guided walks and plenty of entertainment.
Hobart Summer Festival

The waterfront around Salamanca Place buzzes with activity as yachts come and go, buskers, musicians and performers entertain the crowds. The Hobart Summer Festival celebrates what Tasmania is all about - an open community where people come together to toast the arrival of summer, welcome friends and visitors, take part in arts events, share good food, wine and conversation.
Falls Festival

The Tasmanian Falls Festival overlooks the stunning Marion Bay and out over Maria Island. The festival features around 50 acts of first class pedigree from home and abroad. Tickets entitle patrons to two nights of free camping onsite and two huge days and nights of entertainment on two stages. Acts include a diverse range of top bands, DJs and comedians. The Falls Festival is also held in Lorne, Victoria.
