The festival is held every year at the beautiful Kimberley Reserve near Levin (just over an hours drive from Wellington) on Wellington Anniversary Weekend.
Catlins Woodstock Music Festival

Catlins Woodstock is one of South Otago's major music events of the year with entertainers giving of their time and talents to support local charities. It is a family day out and along with the music there is a wide variety of activities for all to enjoy including the famous Woodstock water slide. Music can begin as early as 10.30 am. The main music event is on the Sunday however new in 2008 was the Country Music Day held on Saturday. The Motorhome Association support Woodstock each year have among their members some very talented entertainers who perform. Members of the Otago Country Music Club and the Clutha Country Music Club also presented an array of Country music in 2008.

Monet and the Impressionists

This is a rare chance to see some of the world's most famous and best-loved Impressionist paintings, including Claude Monet's Water Lilies, Haystacks, and Meadow with Poplars. Around 30 works by Monet will be displayed alongside Impressionist masterpieces by Renoir, Pissarro, Degas, Sisley, Cézanne, and others. Te Papa is the only New Zealand venue for Monet and the Impressionists.
