Bamurru Plains
An extraordinary wilderness experience on the coastal flood plains of the Mary River delta in the Top End of Australia’s Northern Territory. Situated just west of Kakadu National Park, Bamurru Plains is an utterly exclusive bush camp that exudes Wild Bush Luxury, bringing a touch of style to a remote and beautiful wilderness region.

Wild Bush Luxury - A style of accommodation more akin to some of the safari camps in Africa, Bamurru Plains attraction lies in the birdlife and wildlife of the surrounding floodplains and savannah woodland. However, we realize that while an exclusive bush experience does not need to be 5 star in the traditional sense, there are key elements that are crucial to a truly exclusive stay in the bush: a supremely comfortable bed and quality linen, great bathrooms, good food & wine and excellent guiding. The style of experience is utterly exclusive, rustically chic and totally in tune with the surrounding country.

The floodplains of the Top End provide some of Australia’s best natural experiences with an extraordinary diversity and volume of birdlife, reptiles and wildlife. The wetlands and rivers host one of the largest crocodile populations in the Northern Territory, while the savannah bush is home to thousands of wallabies, dingoes and other mammals.

The stone country of Arnhem Land and Kakadu is a short distance away providing an insight to the regions Aboriginal heritage, which remains amongst the strongest in Australia. In conjunction with this the buffalo ranching leases on the floodplains hark back to the era of the early European explorers, settlers and hunters in this area.
